KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has announced an additional allocation of RM2bil for the Targeted Relief and Recovery Facility (TRRF), as well as the establishment of a RM200mil Disaster Relief Facility (DRF) 2021.
In a statement on Friday (Feb 5), BNM said the additional allocation brings the TRRF to a total of RM4bil, and the facility is available until Dec 31,2021, or until full utilisation, whichever is earlier.
“Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that are recipients of the Special Relief Facility and the National Economic Recovery Plan’s (Penjana) SME Financing are now eligible to apply for TRRF, subject to total financing not exceeding RM500,000.

Coles launches state-wide appeal to support Wooroloo fire relief fund
Coles will kickstart a state-wide fundraising campaign to support bushfire-affected residents in Wooroloo and the Hills tomorrow with a $100,000 cash donation to the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund.
From tomorrow, Coles customers will be able to help communities affected by the Wooroloo and Hills fires by making a donation to support the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund at any Coles supermarkets, Coles Express store or Coles liquor store in Western Australia.
Coles State General Manager Pat Zanetti said the Coles team was passionate about supporting the local community at such a difficult time.

Police arrest man over hotel robbery last year, South Australia
A man has been arrested after he allegedly robbed the Lonsdale Hotel back in March last year.
Detectives form the Serious Organised Crime Branch have today ( Friday 5 February) arrested and charged a 38-year-old man from Old Noarlunga with aggravated robbery.
Police will allege just after 3am on Saturday 14 March 2020, two men, one armed with sawn-off rifle entered the gaming room of the hotel, threatened staff and stole cash.
The arrested man has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 8 February.
